Chronicles of the Severance

Aurelmir, capital of the Calvareth Empire, has been scarred by centuries of war. A giant wall called The Severance splits the city in two.

A knight-squire, Bronal Hellesonne, is driven mad by visions of demonic, burning eyes. He discovers that these are not hallucinations, and that he may carry the key to uncovering a conspiracy that is steering the Empire to war.

Meanwhile a forester exiled by her own people and carrying a dark secret, and street bard who wields an ancient, illegible script seek refuge from a bitter mage numbing his pain with drink.

Together they face a puritanical cult infiltrating the corridors of power as well as a darker, supernatural threat feeing on corruption and fear, while a weak empire rots from within.
